Membership and Fees

Upstarts Gymnastics Charitable Incorporated Organisation is managed by team of Trustees and a guidance committee of parents and coaches.  Our fees and administration is run by a management software system called 'LoveAdmin'. This system allows us to communicate more effectively with our members and ensures our volunteers and coaches can put their efforts in to creating excellent gymnastics sessions for our members, as opposed to completing admin tasks.

Initial joining costs and ongoing fees

There are three different payments that are taken as part of a membership at Upstarts Gymnastics:

• Joining Fee of £13 - a one off charge to cover additional administration in setting up and closing memberships

• Annual club membership fee of £10 - paid on joining the club and then annually

• Monthly training fee, paid in advance of the month - Our monthly fees can be seen in the table below this text box

• ​Friday morning Pre-school gymnasts do not currently pay joining fee and annual membership.

Your will also be required to hold a British Gymnastics Membership immediately, this coming year is set at £24 for the year, see more info about British Gymnastics membership below.

How we calculate your monthly fees: -

Upstarts Gymnastics CIO offer training for recreational participation 42 weeks of the year.  However, we only charge for 39 weeks a year, to allow for emergency closure days for unforeseen circumstances like bad weather or facility emergencies.  These 39 weeks of charge are then split into 12 equal monthly payments. 

 

This was voted upon by a committee of parents, to ensure the fee you pay is consistent throughout the year to help with your budgeting, to assist us with easy fee collection and reduce administration to a minimum.

You will notice that Mondays are further reduced to take into account the additional bank holiday days that the rest of the rest of the week will not be impacted by; again, fees spread over the 12 months.

In addition to these costs, anyone participating in gymnastics activities must be a member of our Governing Body, British Gymnastics.  This includes your insurance to participate along with other membership benefits.  To read more about British Gymnastics membership benefits, please see the link below: 

 

 

 

Insurance: -

 

When you get your trial at Upstarts Gymnastics CIO, you will be covered for you trial session by British Gymnastics, however, following this trial you MUST become a British Gymnastics Member to participate in gymnastics activities in a Community Club like ours.  British Gymnastics membership is currently £22 for the year, pre-school £15 and is renewed annually in September.

We hope you enjoy your participation at Upstarts Gymnastics CIO, we aim for quality gymnastics activities with a focus on positive experience and progression.  However, if for any reason you decide to leave Upstarts Gymnastics CIO, our policy is a month's notice by email.  We can then ensure the best outcome for everyone, wishing the gymnast a fond farewell and best wishes for their next adventure, ensuring that fee collection is stopped in a timely manner, and ensure the club can offer the place to someone on the waiting list as soon as possible, without the loss of income for our essential running costs.  This policy is a condition of your place at Upstarts Gymnastics Club.
